Reporting to: Workshop Foreman/Manager
This would be a Permenant role working for a key engineering component company.
As a Tig Welder you will work Monday to Friday, on an hourly rate between £15.50 - £18.00ph dependent on experience and skills test.
Tig Welder Key Responsibilities:
- TIG Welding, fabrication and installation in workshop and on-site environment.
- Fabricate, weld and construct products as per the design drawing supplied by the customer/commercial office.
- Ensure all materials are measured correctly and precisely in accordance with design drawing.
- Work individually or as part of a team to ensure highest possible standards of production.
- Keep all machinery clean and operational, flagging any concerns to the management team.
- Commit to reducing costs and wastage of materials and time.
- Ensure workshop and rest areas are clean and tidy.
- Fabricate products/parts as required for the manufacturing process.
- Any duties deemed necessary by the management team for the benefit of the business.
Tig Welder Skills and Qualifications Required:
- Relevant TIG Welding Qualification/experience.
- Experience of mild, stainless steel and aluminium fabrication.
- Experience with hand/industrial tools.
- Ability to manually handle safely up to 25kg.
- Ability to work accurately to tight production deadlines.
- Full driving licence and own transport
- Flexibility for overtime/variable working hours and locations.
- CSCS Green/Blue Card (Desirable)
- Relevant Codings (Desirable)
- Forklift licence (Desirable)
- Gantry crane trained. (Desirable)
Tig Welder Holiday and Overtime Rates:
- 28 days holiday (incl. Bank Holidays)
- £25.50ph overtime Mon-Sat
- £30.000ph overtime Sunday and Bank Holidays
- £100 On-call retainer payment regardless of call out
- Min 3 hours paid per call out
- Free uniform
