Test Engineer with ref. BH-84136-2

TXM are pleased to be working with a rolling stock client who are looking for multiple test engineers on a temporary contract.

We are looking for individuals with hands-on experience in testing and validation—particularly of engines, transmissions, power packs, or cooler groups. Ideal candidates will have a good understanding of diesel engine systems, as well as electrical and electronic control systems.

As for this role, you will be responsible for the following:

Installation into the test cells and testing of production power products in line with work instructions
To ensure that products meet the testing requirements
Ensure recording of accurate data to guarantee traceability
Ensure all documentation is up to date and accurately recorded
Help develop testing requirements for future products
Have the ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical faults
Liaise with production when required on technical issues
Liaise with colleagues and work as a team when required

What We're Looking For:

Previous experience in a testing, validation, or similar technical role.
Knowledge or exposure to diesel engines, transmissions, or rail power systems.
Strong fault-finding abilities across mechanical and electrical systems.
Effective communication skills and a proactive team player attitude.
Basic IT/computer skills for data logging and reporting.
Engineering qualification is advantageous, but not essential—we value hands-on expertise and practical understanding.
