TXM are currently supporting a leading worldwide business in automation. As a System Support Specialist, you will be working for a Global Intralogistics business who specialise in the design and development of highly automated solutions that enable customers to meet their logistics & supply chain needs. Our client is happy to speak with graduates or junior system support specialists looking for a new opportunity.
This is an on-site role, working Monday – Friday on a 2-shift pattern, 06:00am – 14:30pm & 12:30pm – 20:00pm, this will rotate every week.
Responsibilities:
- Supporting the onsite team with analysing the automation systems in place.
- Monitoring the system functions and following up on incidents.
- Support the process of defining and implementing change requests (ITIL), mainly in the WCS (Warehouse Control System).
- You will develop a comprehensive understanding of the WCS (warehouse control system) linking the input from client’s WMS (warehouse management system) and daily KPIs.
- You will identify trends and detects problems by collecting and analysing data. You are closely involved in continuous improvement activities, to enhance the daily operations and improve processes in a sustainable way.
- You cooperate tight with the customer service desk and the technicians in the background. Additionally, you will be working together with the equipment control specialists from the control room.
Experience & requirements for the role:
- High school or university educated, with an interest in ICT, Computer Science or Mechatronics.
- Basic knowledge in any kind of programming language (preferable Java & Python) and SQL (to read and understand code).
- Work experience in a similar role, preferable in material handling or high-volume manufacturing. We also invite ambitious master and bachelor graduates to reflect.
- Excellent data and process analysis skills and interdisciplinary interest.
- A proactive approach to incident solution.
- High social competence (customer relations), also when dealing with issues under high operational pressure.
- Highly committed, reliable and sense of responsibility.
- Organisational skills, with the ability to work as part of a team as well as working independently.
- An intensive onboarding process, including training.
