Storesperson with ref. BH-35691

We are looking for a Storesperson for a key engineering client based out of the company’s depot in Newcastle.

This role is a 6 – 8 month contract with possible extension and has an attractive rate (Ph) of £27.52 Ltd

The role is working Permanent Nights on a 36 hour week the shift roster will be covering 7 Days.

Role Responsibilities

To ensure goods are correctly booked in on the computer system, correctly packaged and despatched according to specified procedures and standards

Booking goods in/out for despatch or workshop use
Picking parts in accordance with the picking list
Identifying shortages and informing purchasing/production control
Checking paperwork for accuracy
Data entry of stores transactions on computer systemCycle counting of parts
Loading/unloading trucks with incoming/outgoing goods using a forklift truck
Ensure the general tidiness of workplace and quality and health and safety standards are always maintained
To perform other duties as assigned from time to time

Essential / Desirable Experience / Qualifications

forklift licence Essential for Counterbalance & Reach (refresher can be given)
Experience of computer stock systems and data entry
Ability to work accurately and independently
Previous relevant logistics experience desirable

Successful candidates will be required to pass a Medical D&A prior to commencing any work
