TXM Recruit are working in partnership with a high-profile railway client. They are expanding and require a Senior Category Manager to join their team located Stratford, London. This is a permanent position paying up to £60,000.
We are looking for a Senior Category Manager to oversee all procurement activities across our organization and its affiliates. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing procurement strategies that align with our established processes and company guidelines. You will negotiate contracts with external parties, provide guidance to stakeholders, and ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparing or assisting in the preparation of recommendations for company meetings
- Supporting cross-organizational initiatives
- Providing support for team development and knowledge growth
- Work closely with the Head of Procurement, contract managers, and stakeholders to develop procurement strategies
- Drive continuous improvement in sustainable procurement
- Ensure compliance with UK laws and industry standards
- Responsible for Supplier Relationship Management for cross-departmental supply arrangements
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to advise on procurement protocols, processes, and governance
What are we looking for?
- Seeking a colleague who is hands-on and capable of effectively managing multiple workstreams
- Minimum of five years of experience in a strategic hands-on procurement role
- Ideal candidate will hold an MCIPS qualification, a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent), or transferable experience in a regulated environment.
- Solid understanding of regulated procurement processes and routes to contract, including all procurement documentation and governance requirements.
- Experience in stakeholder management and supply chain planning is essential
