Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Fitter to join our team in Burton-on-Trent. As a Fitter, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and assembly of Voith transmission systems and related components. This role is perfect for someone with a strong mechanical background who is comfortable working with heavy equipment and eager to take on a challenging and rewarding position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repair work on Voith transmissions and related systems
- Disassemble and assemble Voith components with precision and accuracy
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues and diagnose necessary repairs
- Utilize technical drawings and specifications to complete assembly and maintenance tasks
- Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and within set timelines
- Adhere to health and safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized workspace
- Proven experience as a fitter or mechanic, preferably with Voith transmissions or similar systems
- Strong mechanical skills and familiarity with hand and power tools
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals
- A keen eye for detail and commitment to producing quality work
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well both independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to work a 44-hour week, Monday through Friday
