Hours: Monday - Friday, Days, 44 hours per week

Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Fitter to join our team in Burton-on-Trent. As a Fitter, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and assembly of Voith transmission systems and related components. This role is perfect for someone with a strong mechanical background who is comfortable working with heavy equipment and eager to take on a challenging and rewarding position.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform routine maintenance and repair work on Voith transmissions and related systems
Disassemble and assemble Voith components with precision and accuracy
Troubleshoot mechanical issues and diagnose necessary repairs
Utilize technical drawings and specifications to complete assembly and maintenance tasks
Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and within set timelines
Adhere to health and safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized workspace

Requirements:

Proven experience as a fitter or mechanic, preferably with Voith transmissions or similar systems
Strong mechanical skills and familiarity with hand and power tools
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals
A keen eye for detail and commitment to producing quality work
Good communication skills and the ability to work well both independently and as part of a team
Flexibility to work a 44-hour week, Monday through Friday
