We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Mechanical Design Engineer to focus on the design and development of high-performance suspension systems for on-track applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Suspension Design – Conceptual and detailed design of suspension components, including wishbones, uprights, rockers, dampers, and anti-roll bars, ensuring optimal strength, stiffness, and weight reduction.
- Structural Integrity & Performance – Applying robust design methodologies to ensure suspension components meet mechanical, aerodynamic, and dynamic performance targets.
- Manufacturability & Assembly – Designing components with manufacturability in mind, considering material selection, machining processes, and composite integration.
- CAD Modelling & Drawings – Producing complex 3D models and 2D drawings, adhering to design office standards and project timelines.
- Collaboration & Client Liaison – Engaging with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure designs meet technical and production requirements.
- Previous experience in F1, Motorsport, Automotive, Marine, or high-performance vehicle design.
- Strong background in suspension design, ideally with knowledge of composite and metallic structures.
- Proficiency in Siemens NX CAD, Catia V5 for complex component and assembly design.
- Experience working under tight deadlines in a high-performance environment.
- Understanding of FEA, materials, and manufacturing processes relevant to suspension systems.
