We’re seeking a Mechanical Engineer with expertise in process piping design and system optimization, specializing in hot/cold water reticulation, compressed air, and chilled water systems. This is your opportunity to work on large-scale, high-impact projects and bring your skills to life in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Your Role
- Piping Design Mastery: Design and size piping systems to ensure seamless flow and performance for water, air, and cooling systems.
- Process Engineering: Develop detailed layouts for process piping and ductwork, focusing on routing, material selection, and support structures.
- AutoCAD Expertise: Deliver precise, fabrication-ready designs using AutoCAD, maintaining the highest quality standards.
- Technical Leadership: Create P&IDs, PFDs, and isometric drawings, ensuring clarity and functionality for complex mechanical systems.
- Project Integration: Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to align designs with project objectives and deadlines.
- Material & Quality Oversight: Manage material take-offs and conduct rigorous quality checks throughout project stages.
- On-Site Support: Travel (10–35%) to provide hands-on technical guidance during installation and startup phases.
- Education: Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering (required); EIT registration is a plus.
- Experience: 2–5 years in process and piping engineering, with proven expertise in designing water, air, and cooling systems.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong command of AutoCAD; experience with Navisworks or CAESAR II/Bentley Auto Pipe is a bonus.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Analytical mindset with a deep understanding of piping systems and mechanical processes.
- Collaboration: Excellent communication skills to work seamlessly with engineers, vendors, and on-site teams.
- Adaptability: Flexible with travel and occasional non-standard work hours.
