As an Inventory & Tooling Controller, you must embody a motivated and dependable approach, thriving on the successful completion of tasks and addressing day-to-day challenges. The primary objective of this role is to maintain workshops, contribute to facility maintenance, manage tooling & equipment effectively, and support the stores’ function. This requires actively creating and sustaining an environment that facilitates technicians in efficiently performing their daily responsibilities.
Your proactive and independent thinking sets you apart. In this dynamic role, you won't be confined to a routine; instead, you'll engage in a diverse range of tasks. Your daily duties encompass light workshop maintenance, tool management, utilization of MRP systems, and active involvement in continuous improvement projects.
To excel in this position, familiarity with a workshop environment and a commitment to prioritizing safety are essential. Your robust problem-solving skills align with our results-oriented business approach. This role is ideal for someone dedicated to upholding the value of Integrity First.
Your responsibilities:
• To receive and store materials goods, checking, receiving into IT system and store goods in designated locations.
• To issue material, picking goods, updating IT systems.in line with our clients’ procedures.
• To receipt, control and maintaining records for non-inventory goods.
• To fully maintain location and part identification requirement and to continually monitor stock accuracy.
• To manage the return of goods for overhaul, repair, calibration, including any non-confirming goods.
• To manage the return and any investigations were damaged or non-compliant materials are identified.
• To organise the stores and materials to optimise efficiencies and to ensure all identification, labels, locations, and quantities are fully and accurately reflected in IFS
The Key Requirements
• 2 years’ experience working in a fast paced ever changing environment within heavy industry.
• Excellent IT skills including Microsoft.
• Forklift experience.
• Full UK driving licence
