Projects Health & Safety Manager
Location: Carlisle (with international travel)
Salary: Up to £60K DOE 
Contract: Full-time, Permanent

Overview:
We are actively seeking a Projects Health & Safety Manager to lead all aspects of health and safety across global engineering projects for a major process engineering organisation. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with extensive H&S experience to drive initiatives on international projects and be a key part of a growing team. You’ll ensure compliance, lead audits, and promote a zero-incident culture across all sites worldwide.

The H&S Manager will be home based with global travel but would need to have a presence in the Carlisle office also

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement robust health & safety procedures and documentation for global project sites.
  • Conduct audits, inspections, and investigations, ensuring adherence to H&S standards.
  • Lead and grow the H&S team to support expanding global projects.
  • Provide detailed H&S reports to senior management and executives.
  • Drive a zero-incident culture and employee well-being across all projects.
  • Liaise with external authorities, legal teams, and customers on all H&S matters.
  • Oversee compliance with CDM regulations and manage H&S aspects across all project phases.
  • Provide ongoing H&S training to service and project personnel.
Requirements:

  • Degree in Health & Safety or NEBOSH Diploma.
  • Chartered Member of IOSH (or working towards it).
  • 10+ years of experience in a senior H&S role within large-scale engineering or process projects.
  • Strong leadership and team development skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of CDM regulations and industry standards.
  • Willingness to travel internationally (35-45%).
