2nd Line Support Technician
Hours: 37.5 hours a week, Monday to Friday (between 8 am to 6 pm), with occasional out-of-hours support (overtime paid).
Salary : up to £32,000 DOE

The Role:

As a 2nd Line Support Technician, you'll provide critical IT support to our clients, ensuring their systems run smoothly and efficiently. This desk-based role includes remote support and occasional client visits, making it ideal for an ambitious IT professional ready to advance their career.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide second-line technical support for hardware and software issues.
  • Resolve complex IT incidents in collaboration with first-line support and vendors.
  • Install, configure, and maintain IT systems for security and stability.
  • Troubleshoot network issues and manage connectivity problems.
  • Implement proactive service initiatives with the Head of Technology.
  • Document IT procedures and troubleshooting steps.
  • Assist with user training and stay current with industry trends.
What You Bring:

  • Experience: Proven experience as a 2nd Line IT Support Technician or a high-performing 1st Line role.
  • Skills: Proficient in troubleshooting cloud, hardware, software, and network issues, with strong knowledge of Microsoft operating systems, Active Directory, and VoIP systems.
  • Qualifications: GCSE Maths and English Language Grade 5 or above (or equivalent) and relevant industry certifications (CompTIA A+ and Microsoft Certified Professional preferred).
