TXM Recruit TXM News
On Thursday the 28th November Women in Transport (WiT) celebrated their hugely successful members event, ‘An Evening With Jason Robinson, OBE’.
The event hosted at Robert Bird Group’s London office was attended by over 80 WiT members and their guests. Robinson's rags to riches story struck a chord with everyone in the room as he described his humble beginnings, living in a council estate in Leeds and his transition to becoming a global super star and Rugby World Cup winner.
TXM Group Director Gary Lincoln said: “It’s great to have Jason as a part of the TXM team and, with our ongoing support and sponsorship of Women in Transport, I thought it made sense to ask Jason to come and share his incredible life story. Jason is not only someone who has worked extremely hard against adversity to become world class but, above all, he is an incredibly humble person who loves to share advice through his own narrative about how he overcame obstacles.”
We also caught up with Woment in Transport Executive Support, Christine Hurley who shared her thoughts about the night: “We are so grateful to TXM for organising Jason to speak at our event. His talk was brilliant, and you could feel that he had the audience totally captivated. The verbal feedback I heard, left me in no doubt that everyone - rugby fan or not – loved his talk which was full of not only inspirational but also practical advice that our members could really learn from.
“I've already quoted him several times on teamwork. His advice on working as a team was invaluable. The apprentice engineer that Jason spoke to, told us she’ll always remember the evening and the fact that he singled her out as a role model. I am sure he’s inspired her to go on to do great things. Thank you Jason and TXM once again for a fantastic evening!”
