TXM Recruit is proud to announce receiving a bronze award for recognition of our ongoing diversity and inclusion work with The Clear Company.
The Clear Company was established in 2003 and has been working with businesses to provide audits, guidance and insights into best practice on diversity and inclusion within the workplace. The service provides an extensive list of actions and tailored suggestions to help companies move up their levels of compliance, ranging from Bronze to Platinum.
We caught up with TXM Group HR Advisor, Anna Plummer who has led on the working partnership with The Clear Company and she shared: “We’ve been engaging with The Clear Company since 2012. They have supported us across a wide range of diversity and inclusion areas including BAME, mental health, inclusive job descriptions, gender equality, working with Jobcentre and relevant policies.
“Tasks can range from something as simple as reviewing a certain document to signing up and creating an action plan for an employer’s pledge, allowing us to create an all-round approach to improving our approach to diversity and inclusion across the company and most crucially, building it from the ground up to ensure that good practice is at the heart of everything we do at TXM."
Why is it important?
“We always strive to go that little bit further or ‘The Xtra Mile’ you could say – that’s something that has always been at the heart of our company values. By working with The Clear Company, we’re able to not only get recognition for the great work we’re already doing but get the professional guidance we need to make it even better.
“Diversity and inclusion at work is so important, and by building these practices into the heart of our business we hope to improve equal opportunities for all and ultimately benefit as individuals and as a team from the rich cultural variety that a diverse workforce can bring.
"We’re also proud to be able to display our ‘Bronze’ badge as a really concrete way to show off just how well we’re doing!"
What’s next?
“We’re obviously really pleased to have been able to demonstrate that we are working at bronze level, not least because that means we’re covering the basics but also because we now have so much more exciting development to crack on with! We’re not happy with sitting still and are now looking to maintain this momentum and working towards achieving Silver status in the near future. But it’s not really about awards the most exciting aspect is looking forward to putting all this new knowledge into practice."
