Weld Team Leader.

Location
: Eastleigh. 
Pay: £29.68 hourly.
Qualification: Level 3 in engineering. 
 
Main Responsibilities:

Main duties of the position:
  • Manage all aspects of Health and Safety for area of responsibility.
  • Effective leadership and ownership of all modification activities
  • Formal and informal management of behaviours of team members
  • Act as an effective team member amongst a peer group of Section Leaders
  • Facilitate continuous improvement and problem-solving activity.
  • Interact effectively with support department personnel.
  • Maintain housekeeping level.
  • Contribute to building a culture of sharing good practice across the plant.
  • Monitor, control and minimise waste.
  • Lead daily communication meetings.
  • Deputise for Production Manager when required.
  • To be aware of and actively promote and implement the company’s ethos, culture and values.
  • To be involved in staff development and training and participate in PDP procedures.
  • To comply with and implement the companies Health and Safety policy.
  • To update and maintain efficiency trackers.
  • To undertake any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as may be required.
  • Understand and adhere to Hitachi Rail escalation processes.

Qualifications:
  • Demonstration of ongoing personal development
  • Level 3 in engineering
 
Desirable Requirements:
  • Supervisory experience ideally in a production/manufacturing environment
  • Experience in the start up of a new manufacturing facility is an advantage
  • Project management skills
