Weld Team Leader.

Location: Eastleigh.
Pay: £29.68 hourly.
Qualification: Level 3 in engineering.

Main Responsibilities:

Main duties of the position:

Manage all aspects of Health and Safety for area of responsibility.
Effective leadership and ownership of all modification activities
Formal and informal management of behaviours of team members
Act as an effective team member amongst a peer group of Section Leaders
Facilitate continuous improvement and problem-solving activity.
Interact effectively with support department personnel.
Maintain housekeeping level.
Contribute to building a culture of sharing good practice across the plant.
Monitor, control and minimise waste.
Lead daily communication meetings.
Deputise for Production Manager when required.
To be aware of and actively promote and implement the company’s ethos, culture and values.
To be involved in staff development and training and participate in PDP procedures.
To comply with and implement the companies Health and Safety policy.
To update and maintain efficiency trackers.
To undertake any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as may be required.
Understand and adhere to Hitachi Rail escalation processes.

Qualifications:

Demonstration of ongoing personal development
Level 3 in engineering

Desirable Requirements:

Supervisory experience ideally in a production/manufacturing environment
Experience in the start up of a new manufacturing facility is an advantage
Project management skills
