TXM are working with a transport service in Dublin who are currently going through an exciting period of growth and expansion, they are looking to increase the technical expertise in their engineering team by recruiting a Fleet Engineer

Your main responsibilities will include:
  • Undertaking vehicle failure trend analysis and failure root cause analysis.
  • Raising and resolving allocated FRACAS items that are raised in relation to corrective maintenance.
  • Integrating, leading and directing reliability engineering initiatives to improve parts availability, manage the obsolescence plan, reduce equipment downtime and reduce cost.
  • Assisting with troubleshooting problems, discrepancies and investigations of failure modes and/or non-conformances.
  • aManaging trials and testing of new systems and products.
  • Developing standard procedures for rectification of common defects.
  • Reviewing repeat defects and provide technical support for rectification.
  • Developing return to service plans for long-term stopped trams.
  • Supporting training and development of technical staff.
  • Delivering driver information sessions to provide feedback on recent failures.
What you’ll need
  • A time served apprenticeship with experience of working in a technical engineering position
  • Experience of finding and diagnosing faults in complex mechanical, electrical, electronic, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
  • Experience of working with rolling stock in a depot environment
  • Experience of reliability improvement / maintenance optimisation and / or modifications / engineering change
  • Knowledge of rail industry standards
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience of leading others

Required Qualifications
  • Professional Engineer or equivalent
