TXM Recruit are working with a global leader in transportation systems who continuously break new ground in providing integrated solutions that create substantial benefits for operators, passengers and the environment.  They have an urgent requirement for a Safety Engineer to join their Stockholm offices.

You will be part of a team that will greatly contribute will support the existing systems and new product development, working on varied projects and complex systems whilst contributing to global scale projects.

Safety Engineer responsibilities

The Safety Engineer will design and perform safety and risk analysis to evaluate the safety of different system solutions. Your work will include making sure that the necessary safety activities and the related documentation are completed on time and in right quality for a safety approval of the system.

The Safety engineer shall be able to contribute to the improvement of the company’s safety processes and will be interacting with customers, systems engineers, validators, assessors and homologation authorities and other stakeholders.  
 

Experience required

3 years or more of safety and system related engineering experience

Development according to safety standards such as CENELEC (EN50126, EN50128, EN50129) or equivalent

Knowledge and experience of safety related processes (Hazard and Operability Analysis, Fault Tree Analysis and Failure Mode and Effect Analysis, Safety case compilation, Independent Safety Assessment, etc.)

Experience with the methodologies for analysing and specifying systems including safe functions

Experience with specification and documentation of complex technical systems including software and hardware. Ideally, good knowledge and experience of time critical embedded systems
