TXM Recruit are working exclusively with a key client to recruit an Office Manager/PA based at their stunning HQ in the East Midlands. Our client is the UK’s only train operating company dedicated to operating trains on behalf of the rolling stock engineering, train manufacturing, and leasing sectors. They also operate trains on behalf of the train operating community. Our clients train operation is dynamic, expanding and traverses the entire UK rail network. They operate a vast range of traction and rolling stock.

I am looking for someone who has experience managing the day to day support of a fast-paced business with strong attention to detail. With the ability to hit the ground running and make a difference for my client

Responsibilities

  • Manages the day-to-day support of the business through a team responsible for administration, HR, marketing and stakeholder engagement

  • Director Support (PA duties, meeting arrangements, diary management), board notes

  • Lead and support the business support team

  • Develop and maintain inter office policies

  • To act as the key lead for GDPR related matters

  • Produce reports as requested for the Managing Director/CEO

  • Advises staff officer and hiring managers in scheduling interviews and other related activities

  • Manage the holiday system - ensuring adequate staff levels to cover absences and peak workload

Requirements

  • Ability to multi-task, maintain a flexible schedule, and change directions and/or task

  • Highly self-disciplined with excellent interpersonal and leadership skills

  • Strong focus on attention to detail, well organised, with an ability to establish priorities and meet deadlines

  • Controlled under pressure

  • Ability to take initiative and manage time effectively

  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

  • Forms productive relationships with key contacts in various departments/businesses

  • Previous experience in a high level Office Manager role
